This October, Quick Sketch Society is travelling to Rajasthan for a 17-day guided journey designed for creatively curious souls. It’s not an art retreat in the traditional sense. It’s a beautifully curated cultural journey through one of the most visually inspiring regions in the world — with space built in for sketching, observing and absorbing along the way.

Because sometimes the most powerful way to travel is with a sketchbook in your lap.

Why Rajasthan?

Rajasthan is colour, texture and story layered upon story.

It’s painted havelis with fading frescoes.
It’s marble courtyards glowing at sunrise.
It’s vibrant turbans, carved doorways, desert skies and lake reflections that feel almost surreal.

For anyone who loves drawing buildings, details, markets, people, shadows or architectural rhythm — Rajasthan is an open-air studio.

A Journey, Not a Workshop

In partnership with a highly experienced local tour company with over 25 years of on-ground knowledge, this journey blends boutique travel with creative freedom.

We will travel in a small group of just 8–12 guests, staying in heritage hotels and palace properties, moving slowly through romantic lake cities, historic towns and desert landscapes.

There will be fully escorted sightseeing and curated cultural experiences — and alongside that, gentle opportunities to sketch:

• Quiet morning scenes before the crowds arrive

• Architectural details in courtyards and temples

• Market life and colour

• Desert light and expansive horizons

• Artisan workshops and intricate craftsmanship
